1.3 What is the difference between the shoe collections?

Premiere Collection

Pointe shoes in this collection are our most substantial and have the most paste. The toe box is our strongest and most stable, with extra support that extends all the way around the box through the back of the foot. The platform is shaped 4 times during the drying process to ensure a super at platform. The last shapes are created to accommodate the modern foot, ensuring correct fit and alignment. Without compromise, these long lasting shoes are strong, comfortable, and make an ideal workhorse for the dancer. The shoes are available in 9 width fittings and different shank strengths, which provides the dancers with the exact fit she requires to perform her best. The shoes offered in this collection are Solo, Solo Prequel, and Stellar.

Corps de Ballet Collection

Pointe shoes in this collection are made in the traditional turn shoe method. Using techniques exclusive to Suffolk, these shoes are made using very consistent details so the dancer can be sure she is receiving the same specifications time after time. In keeping with the turn shoe tradition, the toe box is stitched into the side of the sole, enabling the shoe to have flexibility at the bottom of the shoe. This stitching also allows the dancer to articulate her foot completely along the back of her foot. We have kept the best of traditional turn shoes and incorporated our making techniques and modern lasts to meet the needs of dancers. The shoes are available in 9 width fittings and different shank strengths, which provides the dancer with the exact fit she requires to perform her best. The shoes offered in this collection are Sterling and Spotlight.
